UMCMA Summer Institute 2021 is an all virtual event featuring speakers, worship, workshops and networking with campus ministry leaders from around the country.

Featured Speakers/Presenters:

The Many is “a creative collective that believes there is power in singing together.” They will lead SI 2021 in worship, music and more.

Christian Coon is co-founder of Urban Village Church, Chicago & author of Failing Boldly.

Josh Packard is executive director of Springtide Research Institute, is an accomplished researcher with an expertise in the sociology of religion and new forms of religious expression.

Theresa S. Thames is Associate Dean of Religious Life and the Chapel at Princeton University and founder of Soul Joy Yoga Llc, an in-person and online gathering that centers womxn and folx of color, inviting them to bring their full divine selves to the mat and tap into radical joy.

Amy Miller (Last Comic Standing, Season 9) and Steve Hernandez, hosts of the Who’s Your God podcast will tape an episode live with SI participation and offer a workshop from their perspectives as comedians asking great questions about faith in the world today.
